Cardamomo, Calle Echegaray 15, Madrid
If you want to immerse yourself in a fantastic Spanish, cultural activity then I suggest you go along to a flamenco show for an hour of dance, guitar and song. The performance at Cardamomo was spectacular and I highly recommend it…

About the Show
Cardamomo is a live, flamenco tablao which runs daily, with 3-5 shows between 6-10:30pm. If you are dining as well, arrive 45 minutes before the show is due to start.
I didn’t really know what to expect when I arrived. I knew what flamenco dance was, but I had never seen a performance before.
A complementary drink was served in the foyer and we were led into a small, dimly lit theatre. The stage (tablao) area was very small which surprised me. It is an intimate venue with the polka dot covered tables positioned very close to the stage. I had purchased a ticket in zone A, the most expensive seating area. I was seated just three rows from the front, so I had a great view of the stage.
The show was quite spectacular with frenetic dancing, colourful costumes, a lot of clapping, finger clicking and foot tapping. It was amazing how the energy and passion built throughout the performance and the singers’ voices, wow! They were so powerful and emotive. I left the theatre feeling quite exhilarated!
Location of Cardamomo
Cardamomo is located a short walk from Plaza de Santa Ana where you will find a number of restaurants with both indoor and outdoor dining options. It is also home to the superb roof top bar, Radio. This is a perfect venue for a ‘pre-show’ or ‘post-show’ drink, to admire the stunning views of the city or view a beautiful sunset.
