Sydney is one of the most popular destinations in Australia. For over 50,000 years, the Indigenous population have lived in here. Captain Cook then arrived in 1770, claiming the land for Great Britain. The British arrived in 1788 looking for somewhere for convicts to be placed. Over 162,000 convicts were brought here over a 60 year period before being sent to other states.
During my solo holiday in Sydney I reviewed hotels, restaurants, beaches and activities. I hope you feel inspired to go along to some of the places I have enjoyed and recommend.
Note that not all destinations have the same local laws and customs as your home country. Click on the link to take you to the UK Government’s website which provides up to date information about local laws and customs in Australia.
