Room prices vary according to the day of the week and time of the year. However, they offer good value for money. I have found that Sundays tend to be cheaper, sometimes as little as £29 for a double room. Flexible rates are available giving you the option of cancelling with a full refund up to 4pm before the scheduled day of arrival. Check Travelodge Battersea’s website for current prices.
There are a few negative points about the hotel which is reflected in the price…
Firstly, Travelodge, Battersea is located on a main road so you are likely to hear some road noise.
Secondly, the keys are very old fashioned and bulky which isn’t ideal if you are out for the evening and need to put it in your pocket or a small bag. In fact, I haven’t seen keys like this ever before!!
Check-in is available from 3pm and check out is at noon the following day. An earlier check-in may be available for an additional charge of £10.
Breakfast boxes can be purchased from reception and cost £5.25. They include cereal, milk, juice and a muffin.
My room was clean, warm and comfortable comprising a kingsize bed, television with Freeview, desk with chair, tea and coffee making facilities. There is a small wardrobe area and the compact bathroom was fitted with a bath and overhead shower. The low level WC and wash handbasin were clean but worn. A manually operated electric heater was fitted to the wall and I needed to use this as the windows were a little draughty. A plug in fan was provided in the room but irons, ironing boards and hairdryers are available on request and not guaranteed.
All rooms have access to half an hour free wifi. An additional 24 hours wifi can be purchased for £3.
Parking costs £9 for 24 hours in the hotel car park. This is payable via the pay and display machine.
The members of staff I spoke to during my stay were friendly and helpful.
Would I Return?
Yes I would. In my opinion, the positives outweigh the negatives.
