I am passionate about food and enjoy dining out so why wait until a friend can join me if I can go by myself. Have a look at my solo dining tips if you are considering eating alone in a restaurant for the first time.
The restaurants I have featured have seating areas preferable for solo dining such as …
- Counter-top dining by the bar
These areas are good because you can sit with other solo diners, speak to the bar staff when they are not serving and watch cocktails being made etc. Often you have your back to other busier areas of the restaurant.
- Window seats
Tables by the window are great for watching the world go by…
- Outdoor dining
These are more casual places to dine and ideal for those lunchtimes or evenings when you wish to go along by yourself
- Live Entertainment
Being able to dine while watch a live band, acrobatic performance or comedy act is enjoyable if you are alone.
