Bondi is a popular beach suburb and for some, the first thing they associate with Australia. It is a good place to come for solo travellers and is popular with backpackers.
Bondi is a casual suburb. Its town is busy with plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. A Westfield Shopping Centre is a short drive away.
Things to Do at Bondi
There is a walk along the clifftops which leads to Coogee, another local suburb, for those who want to explore the area and take in the views. Alternatively, take a dip in the safe swim area which is marked out by flags or swim in the rock pool. If skateboarding is your thing, then there is a beachfront skate park worth a visit.
Gelatissimo is a great ice cream parlour with some flavours that are unavailable in the UK. Golden macadamia blondie, salted macadamia and dulce de leche to name a few. The hokey pokey is highly recommended which is toffee with honeycomb!
Westfield at Bondi Junction
About half an hour’s walk away or a 5 minute taxi ride, is Westfield Shopping Mall at Bondi Junction. It’s a typical Westfield but still a great way to spend some time away from the beach.
