AUSTRALIA
Sydney, Australia
Sydney is a popular destination in Australia with an interesting history. For over 50,000 years, the Indigenous population have lived in here. Captain Cook arrived in 1770, claiming the land for Great Britain. The British arrived in 1788 looking for somewhere for convicts to be placed. Over 162,000 convicts were brought here over a 60 year period before being sent to other states.
Sydney is a city I have lived in and visit frequently. During my time here, I have discovered many places suitable for solo travel. Here are some recommendations of places to stay, eat and things to do.
