Incanto, English Harbour, Antigua

Incanto is a family run Italian restaurant, located in a waterfront setting in English Harbour.

I stayed at Admiral’s Inn and they collected me to take me to dinner by boat.

Incanto is a relatively new restaurant which is quiet off-peak season.  As a solo diner, reserve a seat by the water’s edge if you can.  It is wonderful to look out across the water while you dine.

Fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was served on arrival.

For main course, I ordered the risotto of the day, saffron and parmesan.  In my opinion, the risotto was quite bland.

The family have recently relocated to Antigua and I wish them every success in their new venture.  Each member of staff I spoke to was incredibly friendly and talkative.  By the end of the evening it felt as if I had known them for a long time!

I had a really nice evening at Incanto but unfortunately, not due to the food.  The highlights for me as a solo traveller were speaking to the staff, the waterfront setting and a ride by water taxi.
