Beaches in Antigua

Beaches in Antigua are stunning and there are 365 of them, one for every day of the year.  They are all public, therefore you can access all of them.  Many of the beaches also have restaurants or bars nearby.

Here are some of my favourite beaches in Antigua that I have visited on my solo holidays so far…

Crab Hill Beach

Crab Hill Beach

A stunning stretch of white, powdery sand with a restaurant nearby.  The water is very calm and crystal clear.  The far reaching views are stunning!

Jolly Beach

Starfish Jolly Beach Resort is located on this stunning beach. Why not read my review by clicking on the link if you are looking for somewhere to stay.   Jolly Beach is a long stretch of white sand and turquoise water, with shops, bars and eateries dotted along it.

Long Bay

Pineapple Beach Club Resort on Long Bay

Pineapple Beach Club is situated on this beautiful beach.  It is located on the Atlantic side of the island but protected by reef, keeping the ocean more calm.  Towards the end of the beach is a great place to snorkel.

Galleon Beach

Galleon Beach, English Harbour, Antigua Beaches, Antigua, Caribbean, snorkelling, wreck, turtles, rays, marine life
Galleon Beach, English Harbour

A more rugged beach with walking trails to the rear of it.  I snorkelled here during my stay at the stunning boutique hotel, Admiral’s Inn.   It was quite a remote beach at the time I went in July but I imagine it gets quite busy during peak season.  I accessed it by water taxi. Snorkelling is fantastic here and it is quite common to see turtles and rays quite close to the shoreline.

Dickenson Bay

Dickenson Bay at Starfish Halcyon Cove
Dickenson Bay

The stunning beach where Starfish Halcyon Cove is located.  It is a long stretch of white sand with an area towards the end of the beach which is apparently good for snorkelling.  A Vendor’s mall is positioned alongside the beach, ideal for shopping for souvenirs to take back home.  There is a great restaurant is here too, on a jetty over the water called The Warri Pier, the perfect place to eat while you watch the sun set.

Mamora Bay

Mamora Bay, St James club, antigua, 4* all inclusive
Mamora Bay

A horse shoe shaped beach outlined with palm trees, within the highly recommended St James’ Club resort. The stillness of the water makes it ideal for watersports.

Ffryes Beach

Ffryes, West Coast
Ffryes Beach

Ffryes beach is a beautiful white sand beach on the West coast of Antigua with a nearby restaurant. It is quite close to the Jolly Beach Resort.

Seagrape Beach

Seagrape Beach

Seagrape Beach is one of the 4 beaches to choose from when staying at the Hawksbill by Rex Resort. Click on the link to read my solo holiday review at this adult’s only hotel. The sand here is golden and the water calm, making it a wonderful place to swim. The beach is peaceful and quiet.
