The city centre itself is relatively compact. The main attractions are within quite a small radius. Hotels in Florence offer plenty of choice to suit all budgets and levels of luxury. By picking a hotel close to the city centre, you will be guaranteed to have things to do within a short walk of where you are staying.
On this occasion, I chose more budget accommodation with ‘no frills’. Sightseeing was my aim and I did not intend to spend too long in my hotel room. However, as a solo traveller I did not want somewhere that was too remote either. The hotel I chose was perfect for me.

Do not judge a book by its cover. This hotel in Florence does not look that attractive from the outside. However, the room was very comfortable and the hospitality from the staff was second to none.
