Skullduggery Cafe, Antigua

Skullduggery Cafe, Falmouth Harbour, Antigua

Let’s face it, sometimes you just want a good old mug of coffee. Skullduggery Cafe hit the spot! Plenty of simple, reasonably priced food options to go with it and stunning views across Falmouth Harbour…

Skullduggery Cafe

Location

Skullduggery Cafe is less than 10 minutes walk from the highly recommended boutique hotel, Admiral’s Inn, Nelson’s Dockyard. It is located on a fabulous marina overlooking Falmouth Harbour with shops, supermarket and another eatery. I visited here a couple of times because it was such a lovely location. The cafe was quite busy on both occasions, even though it was low season.

Seating Areas

Stools are positioned up at the bar if you want to sit inside. The atmosphere is good with modern pop music playing. Alternatively, you can find a shady or sunny spot, in front of the cafe to enjoy your food or drink. Outside, the tables overlook the water so it is great if you are on your own. It is the perfect spot to relax with a good book, be alone with your thoughts at the start of the day or just sit and watch the pelicans swooping for fish.

Service

The service could be better. It was hit or miss. Sometimes it was super friendly and other times, not. But since I took my food and drink outside, that didn’t really matter too much to me. On one occasion, my order was completely forgotten! The waitress was very apologetic though.

Would I Return?

I would definitely come back on a future visit to Antigua. Although the service could have been better, it was great for solo dining because..

  • Chilled and relaxed place to sit overlooking the water
  • Seating at the bar area if you want a break from the sun
  • Good food
  • Good coffee – in a mug!
  • Great place to walk to
