Indian food in London

Two recommended restaurants to eat Indian food when dining solo in London ….

Dishoom

Dishoom, Bombay, London Restaurant, Indian Restaurant, solo travel, solo dining
Dishoom, London, Indian Restaurant

Dishoom is a first class restaurant serving Indian food for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Lighting is low, Indian music plays and incense burns. The ethos of Dishoom is to bring people of all walks of life together over food and pays homage to the Irani cafes in Bombay. You may have to wait for a table but I guarantee it will be well worth it!

Punjab

Punjab, North Indian restaurant, London

Punjab is a family run restaurant. It was first established in 1946 but has been at the current site since 1951. Grandfather was forced to relocate to be close to the Indian Embassy due to many officers being homesick for authentic Punjabi vegetarian dishes.
Soft Indian music and aromas from sizzling dishes fill the air when you enter into the UK’s oldest North Indian restaurant. The portion sizes are generous and food outstanding.
